Hi,

Up till now I have used my desktop computer to connect to the local hospital to do physiotherapy via video link due to the Covid restrictions.

Today I could connect to them but I was not getting the main screen from the hospital.

The Clinision said that I was connected but could not see me or hear me.

I rebooted and the hospital check in system checked and passed both video and sound but it made no difference.

I tried the same site with my laptop and after the usual checks I was connected with all screens working.

So there must be something in the desktop computer.

Can you help?

Regards

Go to settings, Privacy, Camera and see if you have it set to allow use of the camera and if your app can use the camera.

Sorry for the delay but I did not get any message notifications.

I was lucky as the Tech for the video link was in town and my problem was mentioned.

He said that the answer is simple.  Delete any anti-virus programs and re-install the anti-virus.

It works.

The Tech does not know yet why this is happening but they are working on it.

Regards

Probably the antivirus had a firewall which decided to block it.   Reinstall it then the firewall assumes everything already on the PC when the antivirus is installed is allowed.

It's a spammer.  I've reported him so he should be gone soon.
