When I went to recording > properties > levels, I saw the level was set to 14%. May be this was the reason. So, I moved the slider to 100%. However, when I touched the mic cover with my finger, the Levels jumped down to 7%. So, now, before rebooting the computer, I will check the Properties first.

The issue is now resolved after the updates assistance provided at Sysnative Forums. Therefore, I'm closing this topic.
