i have followed all preliminary "hijackthis" steps. i can not remove Aurora from my system. i believe there may be other infections. one that i know of is C:\Windows\glowcpejvau.exe. please help. below is my hijackthis logfile.

Please read "ALL" of the instructions before proceeding:

You may want to print out these instructions for a reference or you can
save them by copying and pasting them into notepad and saving the text file to the desktop. Use the list to go along and check each item completed.

This is going to take a few steps so please follow the directions in the order in which they are posted.

While TeaTimer is an excellent tool for the prevention of spyware, it can sometimes prevent HijackThis from fixing certain things.
Please disable TeaTimer for now until you are clean. TeaTimer can be re-activated once your HijackThis log is clean.

• Open Spybot Search & Destroy.
• In the Mode menu click "Advanced mode" if not already selected.
• Choose "Yes" at the Warning prompt.
• Expand the "Tools" menu.
• Click "Resident".
• Uncheck the "Resident "TeaTimer" (Protection of overall system settings) active." box.
• In the File menu click "Exit" to exit Spybot Search & Destroy.

Download CleanUp
Install the program, dont run it yet, we will later.

Please read Ewido Setup Instructions
Next download the trial version of Ewido Security Suite here:
http://www.ewido.net/en/download/
Install it, and update the definitions to the newest files. Do NOT run a scan yet.

Please download Nailfix from here:
Nailfix.zip
Unzip it to the desktop but please do NOT run it yet.

Create a new folder on your C:\ drive and rename it C:\PROCEXP

Please download Process Explorer from the link below:
http://www.sysinternals.com/Utilities/ProcessExplorer.html
Scroll to the bottom of the page and select the appropriate Operating System for your computer.

Save the file to that location.
Then unzip the program to the folder you just created.

Open the folder, and launch procexp.exe

In the List of Processes locate and select this process: (You may have to expand the processes by clicking on the "+" next to the entries).
owarkf.exe

• Then from the file menu select Process | Suspend
• Leave Process Explorer running

Open HJT and click Config | Misc Tools | Delete a file on reboot
In the Explorer Window select this file:
C:\windows\system32\owarkf.exe

• When promted if you want to reboot click "YES"
• IMPORTANT: Leave Process Explorer running with the process suspended.

You must now boot into SafeMode, right after running Process Explorer.

• After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but before the Windows icon appears, press F8.
• Instead of Windows loading as normal, a menu should appear
• Select the first option, to run Windows in Safe Mode.

Once in SafeMode, please double-click on Nailfix.cmd.
Your desktop and icons will disappear and reappear, and a window should open and close very quickly --- this is normal.

Then please run Ewido, and run a full scan. Save the logfile from the scan.

Now scan with HijackThis and place a checkmark next to each of the following items:

CleanUp deletes EVERYTHING out of your temp/temporary folders, it does not make backups.
If you have any documents or programs that are saved in any Temporary Folder, please make a backup of these before running CleanUp

Running CleanUp

• Start CleanUp
• When CleanUp starts go to the Options button (right side of CleanUp screen)
• Uncheck cookies
  Note: This is optional, if you leave the box checked it will remove all of your cookies, at this point removing cookies is a good idea.
• Click OK
• Then click on the CleanUp button. This will take a short while, let it do its thing.
• When asked to reboot system select No
• Close CleanUp

Restart your computer in normal mode and please post a new HijackThis Log, as well as the Ewido Scan Log by using Add Reply

OK, that did a good job of cleaning things up.

Now please do the following:

Download FindIt's.zip to your desktop: http://forums.net-integration.net/index.ph...=post&id=142443

• Create a new folder on your desktop
• Unzip/extract the files inside that folder you created on your desktop.
• Open the folder and run FindIt's.bat and wait for notepad to open a text file. It may take awhile so please be patient ...
• Then post the results here along with a new HJT log by using Add Reply

OK, thanks for the logs. We need to do a few things yet.

Please download Pocket Killbox
Click Here to download Pocket Killbox by Option^Explicit.
Unzip the program and save it to your desktop, dont run it just yet.

Next, please reboot your computer in SafeMode by doing the following:

• Restart your computer
• After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but before the Windows icon appears, press F8.
• Instead of Windows loading as normal, a menu should appear
• Select the first option, to run Windows in Safe Mode.

Now scan with HJT and place a checkmark next to each of the following items:

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [KernelFaultCheck] %systemroot%\system32\dumprep 0 -k

Close all windows then click the Fix Checked button. Close HJT.

Now lets run Killbox

• Double-click on Killbox.exe to start the program.
• In the killbox program, select the Delete on Reboot option.
• In the field labeled Full Path of File to Delete enter the file paths listed below ONE AT A TIME (EXACTLY as it appears, please double check to make sure!):

C:\WINDOWS\System32\IN10B6S.DLL
C:\WINDOWS\system32\thistle_icon.ico
C:\Windows\glowcpejvau.exe

• Press the button that looks like a red circle with a white X in it after each one.
• When it asks if you would like to delete on reboot, press the YES button, when it asks if you want to reboot now, press the NO button.
• Do this after each one until you have entered the LAST file path I have listed above.
• After that LAST file path has been entered, press the YES button at both prompts so that your computer restarts.
• If you receive a message and your computer does not restart automatically, please restart it manually.

Once your system has rebooted into Normal Mode run the CleanUp program.

Reboot and post back a new HJT log by using Add Reply.
