Hello!

My operating system is Windows XP and I use Microsoft Works. I have a 205 page document that is very important (has some charts and other fonts included) and I am looking for solid advice on how to restore the file that Works will not open. I have tried system restore to no avail. I am trying to avoid having to buy restoration sofware. Is there anything built within windows XP that could aid in restoring the file or is there any free software that you recommend? Unfortunately, I did not back-up the original file to disk but I did duplicate the corrupt file on disk.

Thanks very much for your help!
