CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME? I FEEL SOOO STUPID. :tazz:

I HAVE A COMPUTER WITH XP, IT IS CORRUPT AND I BOUGHT A RECOVERY THAT IS SUPPOSED TO FIX IT. WELL BEFORE I MESSED WITH MY COMPUTER I TRIED IT ON MY KIDS COMPUTER (THEIRS IS MESSED UP WORSE).
ANYWAY, IT SAYS TO HAVE THE CDROM BOOT, WELL I TRIED TO FIGURE OUT WHAT THAT MEANT AND I CHANGED THE THING IN BIOS TO HAVE IT BOOT TO THE CDROM (OR I THOUGHT THAT IS WHAT I WAS DOING). ANYWAY, NOW WHEN WINDOWS 98 COMES UP IT IS BIG AND DISTORTED LIKE IT GETS IN SAFE MODE.
I HAVE GONE IN AND DID THE DEFAULT SETTINGS (OR WHATEVER IT IS THAT YOU PUSH Y TO) BUT THAT DID NOT WORK.
CAN YOU TELL ME WHAT I NEED TO DO TO FIX IT TO USE THE DISK TO FIX THAT COMPUTER? ;)
THANKS
SAM
OH, SORRY FOR THE CAPS ;)

Does Windows load OK? If so then it is probably in your display settings. Have a look at this tip to change the display settings. If that doesn't help you may need to check that the video drivers are installed for the card/chipset that you are using.
