I get a Runner error with the following message

Invalid Backweb application id "1940576"

This occurs whenever I start Windows XP (home edition). I have run all the applictions you suggested on the opening page and updated Windows. I have not yet run Hijack This, but have the program downloaded and am ready to go. Please let me know how to proceed.

Hi GWGray and welcome to Geeks To Go :tazz:

Sorry we have been busy, if you still require our help, please follow these instructions.

*Important* : HijackThis! needs to be installed in its own folder, as it creates backups that you may need later (create a folder in "My Documents", for example...). This tool can be dangerous when handled improperly, so, PLEASE DON'T FIX ANYTHING WITH IT YET !! and wait for instructions. Run HijackThis!, then click on "Do a system scan and save a logfile". Save the log, then copy/paste it here so we can have a look.
