i need help with my p4
here are the stats

Pentium 4 2.8Ghz with 512 L2 400FSB
512MB DDR

It has bloody a system clock of 99MGHZ and the multiplier is set at 28..
so the comp runs like a 2Ghz comp.. very slow


can sum1 help me with changing FSB?>

thats a bloody high multiplier!!!
what speed ram are you using 2100,2700,3200?
what overclocking features does your mobo have and can you change the multiplier(lower it)

[bleep] RIGHT ITS A HIGH MULTIPLIER.. company ripped me off
thats why my p4 runs so slow.. multiplier too high

um my motherboard is NEC International GA-8SIMLNF
It can support 133 Front side bus so i can raise clock but i dont know how to..?

thx to any1 that can help?

can you drop the multiplier to 14 and raise the fsb to 200mhz
failing that raise the fsb 133mhz and lower the multipler to 20 or 21
running at 133 mhz will nottake advantage of pc3200 (200mhz) ram it the speed of cheap pc2100 ram

looking at your mobo it is a rebranded gigabyte mobo because the name begins with GA

yeah i think it is rebranded gigabyte mobo but i duno how to make the BIOS let me change the sets
