Hi,
My router model is "Dynalink RTA300" Adsl router.
I am trying to portforward for my BitTornado program, and for my Warcraft 3 (in order to host). I'm following the instructions on the very helpful site of www.portforward.com

but whenever i try to forward the first port error shows up!
like this!

I rang up my dynalink helpline, but the operator seems hasty and very impatient to help. He just said it might be my firewall or something blocking it.

Could anyone help me successfully forward ports? Thanks!

I am having the same problem exept mine is with ShooutCast and i don't get all that coding. I also got instructions from portforward.com and still the ports don't seem to be open.

hi the ports for warcraft 3 are 6112 not sure why you would get the errors you are but what ip range are you using and are the ips on the workstations static or dynamic, if dynamic is it assigned by the dhcp on the router.

I was following the instructions to forward the warcraft ports. it said i had to set up a static IP on my comp so i used the instuctions here http://www.portforwa...ng/staticip.htm

In one of the steps I had to find out some info
and my
IP is 192.168.1.3
Subnet Mask 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway 192.168.1.1
DSN 192.168.1.1

It said i should have 2 alternative DSN but I dont.

So I tried to add it into my internet Protocol (TCP/IP) porperties window. But it didn't work. Have I done something wrong?

ok so im assuming ur routers ip adress is 192.168.1.1 and the dns server doesnt have to be the ip of your router if u can find out what ur isp 1 is then u can use that instead what router do u have and ill try to help further.

Hi yes my router control panel thing is located at http://192.168.1.1
what is isp 1? I would gladly try to find that out if I knew how to!

well im with plus.net and they have a members portal basically a user control panel and under connections in there it says my primary and secondary dns servers, what isp are you with and ill try to find out for u and if we find it u can simply replace the 192.168.1.1 in the network adaptors tcp\ip and then under dns so let me know ur isp and ill try to find out.

If you go to the status screen on your router configuration you should see what are the two IP addresses it uses for DNS. Enter those, those are your ISP's DNS servers.

that would depend on his isp and also how advance his router is i know my old router didnt but yeh good thinking if it works saves effort

Hi,
I went to the status of my router config, but I dont see any DSN ips. The only thing ip-like within the status pages is the local WAN ip which is 219.88.219.188.

the internet service provider im with is Xtra Jetstream. Does that help?

I had my CCTV system set up for remote access so I could view the cameras on my phone, I accidentally deleted the app from my phone how could I find out my DNS address to remote access my CCTV on my phone again. I cant login my router as I cant remember the password for the router
