Im having a problem getting rid of Aurora and Abetterinternet. I have gone through all of the steps you have up and have performed them all, plus I have Webroot Spy Sweeper and run that too. Got rid of some 200 adwares and trojans but Aurora/abetterinternet wont go away. I have service pack 1a not 2.

• Install ewido security suite
• When installing, under "Additional Options" uncheck "Install background guard" and "Install scan via context menu".
• Launch ewido, there should be an icon on your desktop double-click it.
• The program will prompt you to update click the OK button
• The program will now go to the main screen

You will need to update ewido to the latest definition files.

• On the left hand side of the main screen click update
• Click on Start

The update will start and a progress bar will show the updates being installed.
Once the updates are installed do the following:

• Click on scanner
• Make sure the following boxes are checked before scanning:
  • Binder
  • Crypter
  • Archives
• Click on Start Scan
• Let the program scan the machine

While the scan is in progress you will be prompted to clean files, click OK

Once the scan has completed, there will be a button located on the bottom of the screen named Save report

• Click Save report
• Save the report to your desktop

Then, run this online virus scan:
ActiveScan

Save the results from ActiveScan.

Ok to get started when I used Killbox in safe mode it couldnt find any of the files you asked me to remove:

The computer seems to be running really well. I havnt seen Aurora at all today. And it usually pops up right when I go to a different website than my start page. I have all my spy stoppers disabled at the moment.

• Use an AntiVirus Software - It is very important that your computer has an anti-virus software running on your machine. This alone can save you a lot of trouble with malware in the future.

• Install Spybot - Search and Destroy - Install and download Spybot - Search and Destroy with its TeaTimer option.
