Whenever I first log in with XP Home Edition, I receive an error message informing me that it cannot find the inetdata.exe file and tells me that I should search for it. I don't actually want the inetdata program, nor do I know what it is. Any ideas on how to stop this message from popping up everytime I log in?

have you tried a repair installation of windows xp? just pop in the disk at start up and select Repair installation and follow the instructions it gives you, it should find the operating system on your drive <_<

This is the exact message I get when logging on....

C:\WINDOWS\inetdata\services.exe
Windows cannot find 'C:\WINDOWS\inetdata\services.exe'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again. To search for a file, click the Start Button, and then click Search.

I click "ok" to move on and get this....

Desktop
Could not load or run 'C:WINDOWS\inetdata\services.exe' specified in the registry. Make sure the file exists on your computer or remove the reference to it in the registry.

I don't think running a repair on the operating system will adjust this problem. Once I click "ok" again, everything runs as normal.
Any other suggestions?
