this is not a pretty problem, and some of it has to do with your being a little hyper, ronny.

Take a breath, calm down. Follow instructions. We'll get through this, hopefully.

I suspect a fairly significant harddrive issue that seems to be getting worse.

First...what boot disk did you use? Where did it come from?

Second...where did you get the files you restored to this system? Was it from the same version of windows 98, or something else?

Last I saw, you were at c:\windows.

If that is the case, type cd..
you will now be at
now type
attrib -r -a -s -h autoexec.bat <enter>
attrib -r -a -s -h config.sys <enter>
rename autoexec.bat autoexec.bak <enter>
rename config.sys config.bak <enter>

reboot...what, if anything happens differently?

---------------------------------

If all is well, stop and report back.

If things are still bad, what is your prompt look like
a) c:\
or
b) c:\windows

i have managed to do the above information and now it says
the following files are missing or corrupted c:\windows\dblbuff.sys and c:\windows\ifshlp.sys

other error says file creation error
