when i start up one of my pc's it gothrough the loading xp screen and then restarts it self it also does this in safe mode and all other modes what do i do to fix this?


The other one i go to start it starts to load 2000 and then gives me a blue error screen this also does this in all modes of safe booting PLEASE HELP

no it goes from the little green bar to reseting it self

try boot off the windows xp cd and go into the recovery console and run

chkdsk /r

dont have the disk it was preloaded!!

Press F8 when you are booting, you know when you get the options to go into Safe Mode. There is an option for Last Known Good Configuration, That will take you back to the last time you have booted into Windows successfully.

Let me know if that works

you can download a floppy disc verson of the windows xp boot disc to use the recovery console

you will need 6 floppy discs

i beleave this is the same sort of fault as the windows xp fault "unmountable boot volume"

try the same as for the xp machine, run chkdsk from the recovery console
