First, I apologize if this topic has been previously posted.

I, obviously, have a Windows 98 operating system and for some time now I haven't been able to access any secure sites.

EX : No hotmail, bank accounts, billpay, etc.

For a while I've ignored it because I haven't had time to deal with it but I've reached a point where I need access on my home computer, so PLEASE help.

I've tried the following things:

Updated IE
Default settings
SSL settings
Windows Updates
Ad-aware scans
Virus scans
ETC.

Also note that my computer had the power source recently replaced and a new virus agent installed which detected 3 trojans, yippee. All of those have been removed.

I do have a firewall but it was just recently installed and the issue has been ongoing for a long time prior to the installation.

Please advise. Any advice would be great!

Thanks!

You could try to add those sites to your trusted sites list. That might help.
What happens why you try to go to those sites? What type of message comes up?
