hey i was wondering is there a way i can get faster downloading speed? all my other buddies are getting lik 100+ kb/s for dl speed and i am only getting 30 kb/s.. OR less... we all have the same internet service provider and my computer is better than most of my buddies, can u guys help me out? thnxs

It can also depend on how far away from the provider you are. Or where ever there station is.

It can really depend on where you live. What service do you have? Do your buddies live near you?

to reiterate, yes, dsl speed is dependent on several factors, including distance from the telco switching station, and switching equipment at the station. Even the same ISP will have varying speeds depending on what station you switch through.

You may see some marginal increase by adjusting your rwin or receive window...
