<_< Hi I wanted to start a web page , but I have no idea how to go about it. I have no idea of cost, how to, how to get links , designing. etc. I'm kinda dumb when it comes to these computers. so I need HELP. Thanbk you kindly ...jim

You'll want to first register a domain name (the name of your site). This will cost $8-$20/yr depending in the registrar you select.

Next, you'll need a web host. Hosting for a personal site should run about $5-10/month. Hosts provide support for keeping your website online, but they usually won't provide any help with html, or scripts.

To create your site, you'll need to either learn some basic HTML, or get some software that creates the code for you. There are many authoring software programs available--the two most popular are FrontPage and Dreameaver.

Another option, is to look for a site that offers Fantastico. This is script that allows you to create sites like forums and blogs in a single click.
