Hi all,

I had a weird problem when I was trying to repair my windows xp pro. I booted with my windows xp cd, chose repair, system files are then replaced and the comp automatically rebooted, then...when the light blue "Windows Installation" screen comes up, there was a minor power outage that caused my comp to reset. Then, I never got my windows installation done. Now, a blue screen saying "Setup is being restarted" would show up first, and it would turn black with a cursor in the center...then it would restart on its own and would go back to the "Setup is being restarted screen" again...and it goes in a loop...

Thank you in advance for any suggestions.

is the cd still in the cd-rom? If not, replace it, and run repair again (with the cd-rom as first boot device)

I just tried your way, but the "Setup is being restarted....." screen still comes up. I'm thinking if I should do it manually as in typing "d:/setup.exe" or something like that, but I don't know if it will end up clearing up my harddrive.

Thanks for your suggestion gerryf.
