Hi Guys,

I have Win98 on my C Drive and Win2000 on my D drive. I was thinking I would upgrade to Windows XP for both the drives.

Now that the current OS are on a different system (I guess FAT32) and the new OS would be NTFS, what are the precautions I need to take before I upgrade.

2) Will I lose all my data once I upgrade?

3) If not happy, Can I switch back to my previous OS ?

4) Is it safe to just put in the XP Cd and follow the instructions to upgrade ?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks

when you upgrade from win98 to winxp you have the option to (A)install with the existing win98 then have dual boot (B) create new partition format it with NTFS then install winxp on it, still it will be dual boot.
