:tazz: I'm trying to find a way to make my computer welcome me with whatever phrase I ask upon starting up (Windows XP). Does such an application exist?

I'm also looking for a free text-to-audio converter.

There are a number of options you have here. The easiest (probably) is to record someone speaking your welcome phrase and save it as a .wav file and then place the file in your startup folder.
