Backing Up to Data DVD

Howdy,

When I am asked to make backups to DVD so that the user can browse the discs, nothing ever fits onto less than 4 or 5 discs. Does anyone know of a piece of software that will split all the files/directories into even sets to burn to DVD or CD disc? Do not want to compress the data.

And, any software to verify standards like file names not being too long, etc.?
