For some reason I'm unable to adjust my power settings. I click the application and nothing happens. I had problems with WSEM update a while ago and solved it with help from you guys, but when I ran Hijack This before consulting you, I deleted what I thought were malicious files. My WSEM problem was fixed but now as I said I can't adjust my power properties, so when I'm nomt using the power cord, my battery doesn't last as long as it would using the "long life" setting. Is it possible I delete something important? Thanks...

Let's start with this. Click Start -> Run, type SFC /SCANNOW, click OK. Have you XP CD handy.
