I put together a new computer and I am runing 2 sata drives in hopefully a raid array. I try to boot up and everything starts to work but then i can not put in an operating system it gives me a format error. do i need an ide harddrive in there for the os and other things or can i just use the sata drives.
Thanks
Brian

You have the bios set to boot from CD before Hard Drive right? If you do then all should be fine. Try removing one of the HDD's and then see.
