Hi macros78787 and welcome to the Geeks to Go Forums.

My name is Trevuren and I will be helping you with your log.

1. If you haven't logged in go to Geeks to Go and do so. Then proceed to item a.

If you already have logged in, go directly to item a.

a. Click on My Controls at the top right hand corner of the window.
b. In the left hand column, click "View Topics"
c. If you click on the title of your post, you will be taken there

2. Also, while at the My Controls page, check the box to the right of your post and then scroll down.
.Where it says "unsubscribe" click the pull-down menu and select "immediate email notification"

3. Please DELETE your current HJT program from its present location.

4. Download and run the following HijackThis autoinstall program from Here HJT needs to be in its own folder so that the program itself isn't deleted by accident. Having the backups could be VITAL to restoring your system if something went wrong in the FIX process!

A. Close ALL windows except HJT

B. SCAN with HJT and SAVE LOG. (a notepad window will open with the log in it when you click Save Log) (Ctrl-A to'select all', Ctrl-C to 'copy')

C. POST the log in this thread using 'Add Reply' (Ctrl-V to 'paste')

DO NOT MAKE ANY CHANGES OR CLICK "FIX CHECKED" UNTIL WE CHECK THE LOG, AS MOST OF THE FILES ARE LEGIT AND VITAL TO THE FUNCTION OF YOUR COMPUTER

Regards,

Trevuren

I believe that is what my post said. I would also like to know what programs you have run to help get rid of this problem

Please repeat Steos 3,4 and 5 of my initial post. HJT cannot be in a Temporary folder. This is a very complicated case and if we expect to bring this problem to fruition, you must pay atention to my posts and carry them out as directed.

Trevuren

Malware often comes bundled with adware/spyware and must be removed.

1. I want you to UNINSTALL the following programs through the ADD/REMOVE feature of your Control Panel:

Media Access
180solutions
Broadjump

Viewpoint
BullEye Network

2. Now, using Windows Explorer, I need you to DELETE the following folder(s) and all their content:

C:\Program Files\Media Access
C:\Program Files\Viewpoint
C:\Program Files\Broadjump
C:\Program Files\180Solutions
C:\Program Files\BullEye Network

3. REBOOT your system

4. Finally, run HijackThis, click SCAN, produce a LOG and POST it in this thread for review.

Regards,

Trevuren

Download smitRem.zip and save the file to your desktop.
Right click on the file and extract it to it's own folder on the desktop.

Place a shortcut to Panda ActiveScan on your desktop.

Please download the trial version of Ewido Security Suite here:
http://www.ewido.net/en/download/

Please read Ewido Setup Instructions
Install it, and update the definitions to the newest files. Do NOT run a scan yet.

If you have not already installed Ad-Aware SE 1.06, follow these download and setup instructions, otherwise, check for updates:
Ad-Aware SE Setup
Don't run it yet!

Next, please reboot your computer in SafeMode by doing the following:
  • Restart your computer
  • After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but before the Windows icon appears, press F8.
  • Instead of Windows loading as normal, a menu should appear
  • Select the first option, to run Windows in Safe Mode.
Now scan with HJT and place a checkmark next to each of the following items:

Open the smitRem folder, then double click the RunThis.bat file to start the tool. Follow the prompts on screen.
Wait for the tool to complete and disk cleanup to finish.

Now using Windows Explorer, locate and DELETE the following files/folders(and all of their content), if they still are present:

C:\program files\180searchassistant<---Folder
C:\WINDOWS\System32\varuvu.exe
C:\Program Files\Visual Networks<---Folder
C:\WINDOWS\System32\nwpdow.exe
C:\WINDOWS\System32\nvsinet.exe
C:\Program Files\Cas<---Folder
C:\Program Files\hp center\137903\Program\BackWeb-137903.exe
C:\WINDOWS\Nail.exe
C:\WINDOWS\System32\hp90E5.tmp
C:\WINDOWS\system32\communicator.dll
C:\WINDOWS\srchfst.dll
c:\windows\system32\jswyoaf.exe
C:\WINDOWS\wupdt.exe
C:\WINDOWS\System32\stb.exe
C:\WINDOWS\srchupdt.exe
C:\WINDOWS\System32\regsync.exe
C:\WINDOWS\System32\PSof1.exe
C:\WINDOWS\System32\nsvsvc<---Folder
C:\WINDOWS\System32\exp.exe
C:\Program Files\WildTangent<---Folder
C:\WINDOWS\cfgmgr52.dll
C:\Program Files\BullsEye Network<---Folder
C:\Program Files\AutoUpdate<---Folder
nwpdow.exe<---You will have to search for this one.

C:\Program Files\LimeWire<---Folder
C:\Program Files\MarketBrowser<---Folder
C:\WINDOWS\web\related.htm
C:\WINDOWS\System32\qlink32.dll
C:\WINDOWS\svcproc.exe

Open Ad-Aware and do a full scan. Remove all it finds.

Now open Ewido Security Suite
  • Click on scanner
  • Make sure the following boxes are checked before scanning:
    • Binder
    • Crypter
    • Archives
  • Click on Start Scan
  • Let the program scan the machine
While the scan is in progress you will be prompted to clean files, click OK

Once the scan has completed, there will be a button located on the bottom of the screen named Save report
  • Click Save Report
  • Save the report to your desktop
Close Ewido

Next go to Control Panel click Display > Desktop > Customize Desktop > Website > Uncheck "Security Info" if present.

Reboot back into Windows and click the Panda ActiveScan shortcut, then do a full system scan. Make sure the autoclean box is checked!

Save the scan log and post it along with a new HijackThis Log and the Ewido Log by using Add Reply.

Let us know if any problems persist.

Finally, run HJT, click SCAN, and post a log back into this thread for review.

Go into C:\Program Files, find the folder for Panda Activescan, find the startup icon.

Right click on the icon and choose "Send To". Then choose Desktop (as a shortcut)

Your system is very badly infected. We will have to put it through a few screening and removal programs before I can effectively deal with your log.

1. I want you to download and run a free trial version of an anti-trojan program called Trojan Hunter: Trojan Hunter . Let it scan your whole system and remove anything it finds.

REBOOT
your system.

2. I want you to download the most current versionof Ad-Aware and Spybot Search and Destroy, install, configure, update and run them according to the instructions provided below (In my signature panel)

Remember, it is important that you REBOOT your system after having run each one

3. Click HERE to download System Security Suite. Extract it from the zip file into a folder and doubleclick on sss.exe. Check the boxes under the 'Items to Clear' tab and click 'Clear Selected Items'. Reboot when prompted.

4. Finally, run HijackThis, click SCAN, produce a LOG and POST it in this thread for review.

Regards,

Trevuren
