I have searched the internet but can not find a pdf compression program. Does anyone have any suggestions on a good pdf compression software other than win zip?

what are you trying to do? pdf is a document conversion, not compression. winzip, winrar ar the two that I use.

All I want to do is to shrink the size of my pdf file. Just like Adobe acrobats option to "reduce file size".
thanks for your time,

sounds like acrobat is the answer. I don't think any of the alternative solutions would be able to offer that feature.

could packaging make a difference? - try with WinZip or WinRar - they do a pretty good job on reducing size

also if it's about transferring files you can use an upload site like yousendit.com or rapidshare.de where you just upload the files and then send the link - they are fast and easy to use

All I want to do is reduce the file size and store it in my computer so that it will take up less space that the normal version would. I do not want to zip the file, but reduce the size with out zipping it.
Thanks
