ok ... did all that ... still have the error. Right about now I'm wondering if its fixable w/o just backtracking my system restore points until it goes away (prior to installing service pak 2) ... here's the log.

I run Adaware, Spyblaster and Sybot (several times a day lately). I automatically receive Windows updates and I plan to switch to Firefox shortly. Meanwhile, here's the error I get almost (but not every) time I logon to my ISP, WMCONNECT:

Whether I hit YES or NO makes no difference, the error goes away and reappears when I try to open any other page. I 've read other identical posts elsewhere and it appears the folks at WMCONNECT aren't much help with this one, although I haven't called them yet.

In the Internet Explorer toolbar, click Tools -> Internet Options... the Advanced tab, and then the Restore Defaults button.

I'm guessing it's the java sript on that page causing problems. You may also try installing Sun's Java: http://java.com/en/index.jsp
