trouble installing bluetooth mouse

I bought the Kensington wireless optical bluetooth mouse. My Toshiba Bluetooth built-in adaptor on the Fujitsu S7020 laptop recognizes the mouse, but the next step is for it to register a HID device, and then I get an error message "registering a HID device to this system failed"- VERY FRUSTRATING! Any suggestions?
