Hi rp. It may no have been answered because of these instructions posted at the top of the malware section in red.

Do not 'bump' or reply to your topic. We look first for posts with no replies, and we start with the oldest posts and work forward. Bumping will delay a reply.

But that's all water under the bridge. I will take a look and get right back to you. :tazz:

1. Open ‘Add/Remove Programs’ in the Control Panel. Select the ‘My Search Bar’ (MySearch variant), ‘MyWay Speed Bar’ (MyWay) or ‘My Web Search Bar’ (MyWeb) entry and click ‘Remove’. For the MyWeb variant, be sure to also remove ‘Fun Web Products Easy Installer’.

You may wish to print out a copy of these instructions to follow while you complete this procedure.

Please save Hijack This in a permanent folder (i.e. C:\HJT). This ensures backups are saved and accessible.

Please go offline, close all browsers and any open Windows, making sure that only HijackThis is open. Scan and when it finishes, put an X in the boxes, only next to these following items, then click fix checked.

sorry for the bumps.

The only program that resembled those you mentioned was need2findbar. i tried to uninstall but it said it couldnt locate it. Also, was wondering if windows installer was something to remove.

Im not sure what killbox is.

I deleted/fix all the ones you mentioned.

Pocket Killbox

Here is the link for pocket killbox. You don't need it any more, though.

I missed two bad ones.

Run hijack this and put a check marknext to these using the previous instructions.

hi coach ;)

Here is a new log. The keyboard is already working much better but still skips letters here and there, there's a delay/drag. Also, when rebooting or when openng documents like word, I'm getting a window saying norton must be removed and reinstalled because it doesnt support the repair feature.

Is it okay to have norton and ewido running at the same time. I remember reading it's not, which should i get rid of?

:tazz: help coach help! ;0)

new keyboard didn't work. Plus, when i play everquest the keyboard works perfectly. Because i'm 'patched' to their network i guess. Keyboard is almost useless now, and the mouse is taking six clicks to work now (also works fine inside everquest)

When i first got the virus a program called 'wearout' was on my desktop and that's exactly what seems to be happening.
