I have just recently re-installed windows XP (I think that's what I did). Now I get the following message primary & secondary drives not found press F1 or F2

During the reinstallation of Xp .....I'm a novice I also lost my sound card it can not be found & my camera isn't recognized.

I'm glad I can surf the net but I miss all the extras.

Any assistance will be greatly appreciated,

Hi, you could try reinstalling XP and before doing that, you can just try pulling out your IDE cables and puting them back in. The possibilities of the camera not coming up might be because the drivers are out of date, try updating them to, i hope this helps, enjoy...

Thank you for your speedy response. What are IDE Cables? I had thought about reinstalling XP but I'm not sure exactly how I did it in the first place. My family is afraid it's be down for a week as it was the last time.

I got confused installing when I was asked which/or what OS & it wouldn't let me use XP So I just hit many keys.

So, perhaps you can understand my situation. Is there an easier solution.
