Downloading photo from internet

My friend and I download the same photo files. Mine is fine (jpg extension). Hers is "art" extension. How can she fix this so that photos are downloaded with the jpg extension? This started on her computer a few months ago. It was fine before that. Thanks. I hope I've chosen the proper forum for this question.

yes, it's AOL, and I think she did upgrade.

The .art extension is what AOL uses as their default.. Suggest she contact them for a way to change it!!
