XP Hibernation

My daughter was on the web tonight on my Toshiba Satellite w/XP Home Edition and a message popped up that said "preparing to hibernate". The laptop shut off and we can't power it up. Any ideas?

Can you switch it off and on again?? To turn hibernation off see http://www.geekstogo...?showtopic=2780
