thank you so much for helping people this way. I have the Trojan-Spy.HTML.Smitfraud.c problem and was reading how to fix the problem on one of the topics of today.

I did the next steps:

1) I removed a lot of infected files with "Spyware Doctor".
( but now my system restore isn't working anymore...there is a dll missing...)

2) I fixed some infected files with Spybot

3) I downloaded on the desktop: smitfraud.reg and followed your advice

4) I looked for the 3 programs to remove in the add/remove programs but they weren't there...

5) I let the hidden files show...by my computer...right click...

6) I downloaded Killbox and opened it...i putted "delete on reboot" on... bu i'm still waiting to do more...

7) there is only a blue screen on my desktop now...the message of Trojan-Spy.HTML.Smitfraud.c is gone...I see again the desktop options when I click right mouse button/properties on my desktop...but i can't add a picture as wallpaper...

the infection is still there...what do I need to do? please help me soon...thnx !
