ok i did everything u said but ran into a couple bumpy areas. i took side notes on everything that went wrong. i will list these first, and the post my 3 logs u asked for.

first thing:

when i went to go check the items off that u asked me to, some were not there (i think this is due to the fact that they were probably already deleted when i ran other scans.) pretty sure this is a good thing!

when i went to go to delete the:
O20 - AppInit_DLLs: 6i24egm9lpmg8bdll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll

i got this error message:

An unexpected error has occurred at procedure: modBackup_MakeBackup(sItem=O20 - AppInit_DLLs: 6i24egm9lpmg8bdll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll.dll)
Error #5 - Invalid procedure call or argument

Please email me at [email protected], reporting the following:
* What you were trying to fix when the error occurred, if applicable
* How you can reproduce the error
* A complete HijackThis scan log, if possible

Windows version: Windows NT 5.01.2600
MSIE version: 6.0.2800.1106
HijackThis version: 1.99.1

This message has been copied to your clipboard.
Click OK to continue the rest of the scan.

second thing:

when i went to delete the:
O4 - Global Startup: winlogin.exe

i got this error message:
unable to delete the file: O4 - Global Startup: winlogin.exe
the file may be in use.

then it said to go end the process in the task manager, upon which i tried but it gave me this message:

This is a critical system process. Task Manager cannot end this process.

third thing:

when i went to go delete these files in window explorer:

c:\windows\system32\nsvsvc\nsvsvc.exe
c:\windows\system32\vidctrl\vidctrl.exe
C:\WINDOWS\cfgmgr52.dll,DllRun
C:\WINDOWS\System32\PSof1.exe
C:\WINDOWS\System32\exp.exe
C:\WINDOWS\System32\richup.exe
C:\WINDOWS\System32\knjhmj.exe
esesink.exe <<--carry out a search for this one
C:\windows\system32\eliteamp32.exe
C:\Program Files\rdso\eetu.exe
C:\WINDOWS\svcproc.exe

none of the files were present. (hope this is a good thing)

when i went to go delete these next three files:

C:\Program Files\BullsEye Network\bin\bargains.exe
C:\Program Files\NaviSearch\bin\nls.exe
C:\Program Files\Cas\Client\casclient.exe"

here is the error message i recieved. (same message just had the different name of the file that i was searching for.) here is the screenshot of the message:

error_message.JPG

when i came upon the file winlogin.exe it found it in the HJT backup logs. i did not delete it because i was not sure if it would affect anything seeing as that it was a backup.

the only file i found and was able to delete was:

C:\WINDOWS\system32\slman32.dll

hope the above listed issues r not bad ones... :tazz:

here r my logs:

Things are looking much better, we are making good progress.

Download L2mfix from this location:

http://www.atribune....oads/l2mfix.exe

Save the file to your desktop and double click l2mfix.exe. Click the Install button to extract the files and follow the prompts, then open the newly added l2mfix folder on your desktop. Double click l2mfix.bat and select option #1 for Run Find Log by typing 1 and then pressing enter. This will scan your computer and it may appear nothing is happening, then, after a minute or 2, notepad will open with a log. Copy the contents of that log and paste it into this thread.

From the l2mfix folder on your desktop, double click l2mfix.bat and select option #2 for Run Fix by typing 2 and then pressing enter, then press any key to reboot your computer. After a reboot, your desktop and icons will appear, then disappear (this is normal). L2mfix will continue to scan your computer and when it's finished, notepad will open with a log. Copy the contents of that log and paste it back into this thread, along with a new hijackthis log.

From the l2mfix folder on your desktop, double click l2mfix.bat and select option #4 for Run Fix by typing 4 and then pressing enter. This will restore the winlogon defaults.

Also please carry out a search for the following file and let me know the full filepath for it

winlogin.exe

Do not confuse it with the legitimate file winlogon.exe
