Happens to me once in a while also.

Close down browser, run cleanup, open browser back up :tazz:

well, thanks...kinda obvious. perhaps I should've tried a reboot before posting, but it happened out of nowhere...

I'm 99% sure you're running FireFox. This happens to me sometimes too when using FF. I think it's from visiting a malformed site before GTG. What is happening is that the CSS file (page formatting) is not being read. I just close FF and restart it to correct the error.

Yep this happens to me too. I usually just "Clear All" from FF's tools, then I close it, run CCleaner and open it up again. Though sometimes it goes away if I just add a reply to some thread or something..
