Monitor Goes Blank

When I turn on my computer everything seems to be running normal. I get my sign in screen briefly and then my monitor goes blank. I can turn the monitor off and then back on and I can see what I'm working on briefly and then it goes blank again.

Does the monitor power light turn from green to amber when the monitor drops out?

Do you have another monitor to swap with?

The power light does go from green to amber. We have an old monitor we can try switching out.
