I've read through all the topics & don't see my same problem. My computer freezes for about 30 to 45 seconds when using IE . Not every page, but it is constant. Even when I close IE, I have to wait 30 to 45 second before I can do anything else, including shutting down the computer. I'm using 98SE, not because I have an old computer, but cuz I hate giving Microsoft $90 every other year :tazz: I have an AMD Athlon 1 gig chip, plenty of memory & 10 gig harddrive,80% free. I'm not a gamer really, just poker. I mainly just use it for email, ebay, & some forums. My 13 yr old on the other hand surfs every goofy website on the net & it does seem I have to pull maintenance after he's been on half the time.

I've run Norton System Works, Spybot, Ad-Aware, & PCpitstop on a regular basis & they all say no problems. I've also run the IE repair tool.

Any Ideas?

Thanks,
Davideo

Tru running a disk cleanup, get rid of the unwanted files and run a defrag. see if it helps.
