System restore & internet problem

PLEASE HELP.

i started yahoo dsl service. I don't know if it was this, but everything on my computer got messed up. The program for system restore for Windows XP is no longer available (comes out as a white page)...several pages on the internet comes out as white pages. What can I do? any leads?
