Does anyone know if it is possible to adjust the space between (not size of) the thumbnails of photos while using the thumbnails view in Windows XP folders? I know it is possible to change the size of using TweakUI but that is not what I am after.

The reason I am asking is that I would like to be able to see more thumbnails at once and XP seems to waste alot of space between the thumbnails unlike this example here instead of what we all usually see here. I have tried going into Display Setting>Appearnce>Advanced and changing Icon Spacing (Horizontal) with no affect. Increasing screen resolution is not an option as it is already suited to what my eyes can handle. :tazz:

I also would like to change the the color of the background of the individual thumbnails (not the background of the folder which I have already done). If you look here you can see why I would want to do this. When the folder background is a different color the white around the thumbnails becomes very distracting.

I am assuming that a registry tweak would be necessary to make these changes but I don't know where to look. ;)
