Windows XP user name log in

When I start windows XP the click user name to begin screen comes up and it does not give me any user names to click on. I tried hitting control/lt/del twice and log in that way using my user name but it will not work either. HELP! I cannot get past that screen

Just hit the Enter key. When you do get in you might want to go to Users and Administration and change a few things.

When I hit the enter key it still won't do anything. I have tried going in safe mode and it still brings me to the same screen
