hey is it possible to obtain the "DirectX Device" from a dll/program from a process/program

like i have a dll and i want to draw with that dll in a directx client window
by using that windows directx device ; )

any hints

okay, you see the D3D DIRECTX uses a device for its main functions
i wanna be able to add more commands to a program that can execute these dll. so i need to know how i can get a
POINTER to a D3D DEVICE from a specefied window (if o know it has one)

i know it might need to hijack the app and then try to return the device
