everytime windows starts says this

Hi , I have Windows XP Home Running on SP2 ( Service Pack 2 ) when i start the computer it says this > 'Please select the operating System To Start: Microsoft Windows XP Home Or Microsoft Windows Recovery Console. I never used to get it on Service Pack 1 how can i stop this from coming up ? thanks for reading and I hope you get back Thanks

Check your Boot.ini to see if there's an extra line in it for the Recovery Console?
If so, just comment it out.

Be careful with you boot.ini file. If you don't edit it correctly it could cause problems.

If you're unsure what to edit, copy and paste the entire boot.ini text here so someone can tell you what needs to be deleted.
