When I downloaded firefox 1.04 from the mozilla website and double cliked it. It extracted it and then went through all the steps and just before it would install it would say "Mozilla firefox has to close to continue with installation" and then it would close and then nothing would happen. Then if i tried to open an application after double clicking the installation, the hour glass would appear with the cursor twice and then nothing would happen and then windows would crash.

Does anyone know the reason why this happens?

Thanking you in advance

Good Advice.
Often when we have a computer problem that is all we need to do.
To re-boot...re-start.

I have Mozilla, but I also kept IE. (Internet Explorer) as I like it best for
email...You have a choice after connecting to the Internet, which one you
want to use.

If you ever go to any message boards and have a log in name, it will keep it
much much longer than if you go there through IE.

Including this message board...you will stay logged in longer! :tazz:

Technically that isn't true.

You stay logged in for as long as the cookies state (which the forum administrator sets), which is usually about 3600 seconds (1 hour).

FireFox is much better at remembering usernames and the likes though, if that's what you meant.

Yes, 'Undead', that is what I meant.~lol~

Actually, I don't know what I meant except I know from experience if I am connected to the Internet through Mozilla Firefox and I go to a message board ( marriagebuilders.com for instance) I stay logged in indefinitely,
whereas with Internet Explorer, I constantly get logged off.....

I did not know the reasons why...about the cookies etc. :tazz:
Thanks

Cos my first firefox installation didn't work, I downloaded 1.05 from the official website. I double clicked on it and all that happen was that the hour glass came up twice and then it came up saying error report with the modname: nview.

Most probably my graphics card is stuffed up and i ll have to reinstall my graphics card but ill inform what happens after i reinstall it.

Thanking you in advance
