There's something wrong with my graphics card!!!!
I have the X850 XT PLATINUM
It is overheating all the time, right now its 63 degrees celcius and um not doing anything!!!
i did an update from control panel, appearance and themes, display settings, advanced, adapter, properties, driver, update driver
and now there's a problem!!!
when i play a game it overheats to 91 degrees celcius
I don't know what the problem is!!!
PLEASE HELP!!

no, i just get a message from Catalyst telling me that my graphics card is going over the safe temperature.

when i play a game = 91 degrees celcius
before i play a game = 63 degrees celcius

i opened my computer and turned it on and yes, the fan is spinning

It could very well be that the GPU heatsink has pulled away from the GPU. Also, the fan may be spinning, but not at high enough revolutions. Can your computer check the fan revolutions?

I would pull the card and check the heatsink. Running it this hot will inevitably kill the card.

The GPU is the graphics chip on your vid card. The fan sits on the heatsink, (flat looking metal part), which sits on the GPU. If the heatsink has pulled away from the GPU, then there will be insufficient cooling and your vid card temps will be high.

Make sure that the fan on top of the GPU is spinning correctly, and that the card isn't hot to touch whilst running.

no, that's not the problem.
the problem occured ever since i done the driver update for my graphics card..
should i remove an update?
although i don't know how..
it could be that the update trigered a setting for my graphics card...i don't know

You should be able to uninstall the graphics driver from Add/remove programs in control panel.

Just download your earlier driver and reinstall it.

i had Catalyst 5.5 but after i updated the graphics driver i downloaded Catalyst 5.6
Only a few days ago i downloaded Catalyst 5.7
but there's still a problem

Download driver cleaner pro from here:

Install it.

Download the latest (or in your case, use the original) driver for your videocard.

Start > Control Panel, choose add/remove applet

Remove any drivers or utlities for your card.

Reboot into safe mode, by tapping f8 key at startup, about once a second...you will be given a text mode menu....choose safe mode

Run driver cleaner pro and select the video driver you had from the drop down menu and let driver cleaner wipe out all the remaining files from the uninstall.

reboot into normal mode...cancel the hardware installation wizard.

Use the driver setup routine you downloaded above to reinstall the driver.
