Reformatted harddrive and load back my norton 2003 and realised that it can't update the virus definition(used to work fine which I did a reformat 3 months back)....

Other norton components are updated but only the virus definition... wonder if norton has come out with some funny tricks forcing us to buy their latest products inorder to get the updates....

Symantec "retires" their versions every two or three years so you have to get a new one instead of updating. I had only one year left when I renewed mine. But you might want to check with them anyway.
