been working on this infection for a few days now with limited results. It began with my computer not booting windows. After running checkdisk in the windows recovery console windows booted up but i had no desktop or taskbar. some more fooling around restored the taskbar to the nottom but the desktop files are locked, meaning i cannot copy/paste anything. windows restore is not working and i have ran Avast and Grisoft AVG. both came up clean. I tried running the online scans from trendmicro and panda but they will not even launch. Windows search wont open and neither will microsoft antispyware or mediaplayer for some reason.

I have also run ad-aware, spybot, and mcafee stinger. no results.
