512+ ram
60+ GB hard drive
DVD/CD Burner
802.11 b/g wireless (I'm a bit unsure what I am looking for exactly in this catagory, maybe someone can give me some advice)
17" screen able to support movies and games
Fair sound card for the games

Accessories (all these are optional)
Spare battery

Looking for target of $2000 or under

You can make one yourself at:

Heres one of the pre-made ones you can tweak.

I've got a Dell in the UK and found no problems, with either the computer or the support.

At the end of the day all computers of a similar spec are going to do basically the same job.

What matters to me is the upfront price, and the support I'll get if something goes wrong. For those two factors it's Dell everytime for me now.

I really do hope you have some facts to back up your accusation??

I have over 100 Dell Pcs here in this building and almost every member of my family has Dell Computers. Some Desktops, some Laptops. I have had almost no problems. Even the small problems I did have, were dealt with quickly and effectively.
