ok, so I tried calling dell and my ISP and they couldn't help and dell wanted me to wait on hold for forever.

I have an inspiron 1150 and lately my cpu has been at 100% and not going down. i've tried deleting some programs I don't use often and that didn't help much, and I have 57 processes which are too many and i need to get that down to 25 but I don't know how to make it go down! I was also told i have 44% system resources, but i need 80%.

my computer often shuts off by itself, but i can restart it easily. can anyone help? :tazz:

Please go to the malware forum and follow the instructions at the top....Especially the CLICK HERE .

That will give you several steps that will help you clean up 70 percent of all problems by yourself. If at the end of the process you are still having difficulty--and you may not be-- then post a hijackthis log in THAT forum.

If you are still having problems after getting a clean bill of health from the malware expert, please return to this thread.
