Greetings all!


I have just encountered Antivirus Gold on my laptop.

I was able to remove it with Panda. Repeated scans didn`t provde any further hint of ANtivirus Golds presence even though it installed itself with a packet of a lot of nasty things. After the the first run I was able to finally click on Properties again via the START menu and was able to turn of the html page which showed instead of my real desktop.

However...
... as I logged into XP with another Username to check if any issues were still present I noticed that in here (also a sysadmin account) the desktop is still gone and I don't get choose anythign else in the Properties menu than Size and Screensaver. Please help! Thanks.

I downloaded the latest versions of CleanUp, HiijackThis, KillBox, Ewido, Ad-Aware and Panda and I`m ready to go!

Norton is disabled.
