What are some good blogging softwares and what type of databases do they use? I heard Typepad was good, but I want a bigger selection to choose from.

Use PHP, and a large selection is here.

Make sure your host/server supports .php files.

I agree, PHP Is the best to go with... my favorite is WordPress or B2evolution :tazz:
