I downloaded a few game demos and "saved to disk" and when i click to delete them they say: "Cannot delete...there has been a sharing violation, the source or destination file may be in use." How can I delete these items? HELP!

Well, my next step would be to check the running processes and see what's in there.. Anything to do with those programs would be stopped and then dumped..

Click on "processes" tab..

Look, find, Highlight and "End Process"

I tried to locate the games, but nothing in running processes looks like anything i downloaded...

Start>Run.. Type in msconfig and press "okay"..

Click on the "Startup" tab.. anything in there??

it just says the same thing, just "cannot rename..there is a sharing violation..."/ msconfig says "cannot find msconfig or any of its components..."

should i use "Hijack This!" for this particular problem?

Please go to the malware forum and follow the instructions at the top....Especially the CLICK HERE .

That will give you several steps that will help you clean up 70 percent of all problems by yourself. If at the end of the process you are still having difficulty--and you may not be-- then post a hijackthis log in THAT forum.
