The size of the icons and all the windows on my desktop has gotten a lot bigger and i can't change it through
right click-> properties-> settings
the size is stuck on 640 by 480 pixels any idea how to make it smaller?

Is that the only choice you have? Sounds as though the video driver may have become corrupted. Try downloading and installing the latest video driver for your system. If you need help identifying which driver to use, please respond. <_<
