XP pro wont boot after computer starts up

Whenever I startup my comp, it goes pass the loading windows screen, then it skips the User sign in screen and goes straight to the background. No icons pop up, no start bar pops up, but yet when i hit the ctrlaltdlt, there are programs running.

I checked my boot.ini file and it was blank, so i repaired that with:

If you press ctrl + alt + delete and get the task manager you can click file, new task, type explorer.exe then press enter to give you the taskbar. It may keep this if you reboot, if not, load the XP CD, click run, type sfc /scannow then press enter to replace the system files

To deal with suspected Malware please go here

If you press ctrl + alt + delete and get the task manager you can click file, new task, type explorer.exe then press enter to give you the taskbar. It may keep this if you reboot, if not, load the XP CD, click run, type sfc /scannow then press enter to replace the system files

hmm, ill try, but my old windows cd was stolen while i was in college, is there a way to just get the SP1 disk?
